It's a card manufactured for lenovo, by MSI: But I need to know what the specs are like.
With it having 2gb of ram MSI M635 VGA stuff is it 2x better than the OEM version or should i replace it with a ti because the PSU MSI M635 VGA only W? If you are happy with the in-game settings, and are getting good frame rates, then there is no need to upgrade. The GT that you have seems to be a little more powerful than the integrated HDbut still that isn't very powerful.
If you want to upgrade, get the GTX Ti. So I login and BAM! What is happening after login that causes it to go back to clone mode?
Is there any way MSI M635 VGA tell xrandr "look, I can write a working xorg. Please accept my config and stop trying to be so smart"? I could enable Xinerama but the radeon drivers really don't seem to like that and all the compositing and glx niceties I'm used to get disabled if I do.
This doesn't seem to affect performance, but means that the only practical way to alter the external monitor's resolution is MSI M635 VGA using the aticonfig MSI M635 VGA tool and restarting X.
